Lines of Action

The main strategies of BYCE will be to encourage the youth in England to:

  1. Advance through the main Ruhi sequence of courses, and upon completion, become trained as a tutors of study circles.
  2. Be trained as teachers of local children’s classes.
  3. Be trained as, and act as, animators of junior youth groups.
  4. Set up local devotional meetings.
  5. Be active members of their local clusters, and be involved in the organisation and participation of reflection meetings.
  6. To encourage all young Bahá’ís to embrace a culture of ‘open to all’.
  7. To initiate devotional meetings and study circles, in particular, at University Societies.

Bahá’í Societies

A specific strategy of BYCE will be to liaise closely with Bahá’í Societies throughout England, and in particular, encourage their members to initiate/develop devotional meetings, study circles and other teaching activities with this particularly receptive population. BYCE will also act as a resource for those Bahá’í Societies already established, and those wishing to form, by e.g. supplying them with a sample constitution. In time, it is hoped that BYCE will be able to build up and maintain a database of Bahá’í activities in English universities.
